Welcome back to the Tapers' Section where this week we'll have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1977 and 1991.

We'll stop first on 8/12/72 in Sacramento, CA, the start of a great month, and really a great few months of Grateful Dead music. The Dead in 1972 were in do-no-wrong mode, and starting with Europe, and even the Academy of Music shows before Europe, the band was on one of its most consistently great runs in its history. From Sacto, we have Greatest Story Ever Told ; Ramble On Rose ; Beat It On Down The Line ; He's Gone > Drums > The Other One > Black Peter > The Other One; Truckin'; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo > Sugar Magnolia.

From an equally great period for the Grateful Dead, the first six months of 1977, we have this fineDancing In The Street>Mojo>Dancing In The Street from 4/22/77 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, the opening night of what may consider to be one of the top three or four tours the band ever played.

Lastly this week we have some mighty fine tunes from the final night of the three night run at Shoreline in August, 1991, on 8/18/91 featuring China Doll>GDTRFB>Throwing Stones>NFA, Brokedown Palace. This is the version of the band featuring Vince and Bruce on keyboards/piano, filling the sound with many fine layers and textures.
