I am getting an "access denied" message when I try to upload a photo. Is this a temporary thing?
Or is it just me? I went through a whole bunch of topics but didn't any discussion about this. Thanks!
Okay, the first paragraph in the current Tapers Section that has a link is this:
"Our first selection is from 7/3/69 in Colorado Springs, and features the best He Was A Friend of Mine (MP3 18.41MB) these ears have ever heard. Please note that is drawn from the cassette master, as this tour was recorded only to cassette and not to reels, so it does sound a little hissy, but this rendition is so darn good, it’s easy to overlook the minor sound issues."
In the actual text, "He Was A Friend of Mine" is a link. Position your cursor strategically on said link, hold down the control key, and hold down the mouse button. A pop-up menu will offer you various options, including Play Song in iTunes and Download Linked File.
Choose the option you prefer. Should you choose iTunes, it will probably think about it for a bit and then start playing the tune. Should you choose Download, your download window will open and you should be able to monitor the file's progress and then play in in the app of your choice. Including iTunes.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't, speak up!
You'll find David Lemieux's email address at the end of each week's column in the taper section.
If you run into any trouble lemme know.
lemme go take a look and report back. We're talking about the weekly clips in the taper section, right? and you want to download 'em, not stream 'em?
Thanks for getting back to me. My browser is Safari.
what browser are you using? I find that safari and firefox handle it quite differently.
I seem to be having difficulty downloading the the MP3 downloads.
Is it because I have a Mac?
How exactly do you go about it?
...shall we go, you and I while we can...
Could you please let me know how I might send an e-mail to David Lemeiux? It's private and I'd prefer not to post it. Thank You for your help.
I just saw your post in there, tphokie1. Page three of Families>We've All Got 'Em. is that the one you were looking for? it's from about 2 pm on July 3.
I made a post in the families forum on July 3. It was there later in the day as I logged on to let my wife read it. Today (July 4) I went back to the forum to read any new posts and my post was not there. I'm not very computer savvy, but am curious has to how and why this happened. Thanks so much for any enlightenment on this.
