See you Boyz and Girlz NYE

Looking forward to it. Nothing like bringing in the New Years with my favorite people...seems like everyone is working hard to make this another special couple of shows. Can't wait to be home again.

One thing I recommend to all those coming out to the Bay Area that have never been there. If you get the chance, one essential stop for Deadheads is to visit Berkeley (Berzerkeley) and hit Telegraph Avenue during the weekends. They have vending on the street, just like a shakedown, it's a place where I always pick up alot of my Holiday gifts. It's almost like the modern day Haight/Ashbury. Then, right past the UC Berkeley campus, up the hill, is Tilden Park, an essential drive with spectacular views of both the East Bay and San Francisco.

Expensive

It sucks that flights are 60% higher than what they were this time last year. I don't know this for sure but it seems the same for hotel prices. We're going to end up spending almost twice what we paid for last year in SF. Let's hope for a mind blowing New Years run in SF to help absorb some of the price pain.

New Years Eve

My husband, our friend, and I are staying at the Cova Hotel for the two shows 12/30& 12/31/. Does anyone know if it's a nice? I heard there's a lot of homeless but, I've been to San Francsico a few times and there has always been a lot of homeless near the Civic Center. They've never bothered us. Does anyone know if this hotel is perticularly seedy?

Yes!

The wheels are in motion, trying to get a few things to fall into place, trying very hard to get to SF for this. Last year was so much fun and I'm dying to do it again..
