The Grateful Dead is a correct answer on Jeopardy tonight! Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

"touch of grey" is a very old pre-dead statement about hair that is just slightly grey! The Dead did get inspiration from real life sometimes, you know :P********************************** Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge. "Touch of Grey" by Clairol does sound like a blatant rip-off to me too......I thought "WTF?!" as soon as I saw the commercial. It's funny and ironic though....I can't picture any Deadheads rushing to the shelves for a product like that. Hardly Clairol's "core demographic"...we don't care about a Touch of Grey...It kinda suits us....anyway. "In a bed, in a bed, by the waterside I will lay my head. For I don't no how long, I've always looked forward to seeing the Dead Movie on VH1 or other channels through Comcast/Xfinity. It's almost a year since it appeared in my weekly favorite searches. Does anyone know anything about this?

It's a shame to see history being changed because of a few songs that may have a gun fight, dating 14 year olds, and other lyrics that may be offensive to some.

Hello all, I'm from Europe and not really a Grateful Dead fan, I listen to a lot of music from the 60's and 70's though. After visiting an American music forum I noticed that a lot of Deadheads were Trump supporters and this confused me. How is this possible? The band as I understand stood against everything this band represented. Would you say that Grateful Dead has always been a band which followers are mainly Republican as crazy as it sounds?

Anyone catch Ari Melber interview Weir today? It was a fast interview, but enjoyable. Looks like they had to edit it down to fit on TV but it was nice with some substance. Cool! Have a Grateful Day! :-)

P.S. The interview just happened so it hasn't been uploaded yet, but when it is it would probably show up here:

Here is a weird encounter. My family has a summer house in Bryant Pond, ME, Two properties down there is a studio that Tucker Carlson (yeah, that guy) broadcasts from. My brother and I were taking a walk and we saw ol' Tucker working on his vintage pick-up. As a good neighbor I introduced myself, and we had an interesting (non=political) talk - in his studio was a picture of his circa early 90's with Jerry Garcia. The dude had been to over 50 concerts! Who knew??

Does not Ann Coulter get into Dead, too? Someone should tell them Sen. Al (Kissinger on Dead Ahead) Franken gets into the band quite a bit. Hey repo, check out his bona fides on his knowledge of jams...

During the NFC Championship game just now, when they went to a tv break the music they played during the transition was Estimated Prophet. I saw another game recently where they played Saint Of Circumstance. Those are pretty deep cuts for the NFL.

Has anyone heard anything about Grateful Dead Meet up at the Movies for 2022? Before the pandemic, movie theaters would show a Dead concert on Jerrry Garcia's birthday.

Season 6 of Billions - someone producing that show knows their Dead
Besides the reference to Steve Parish in episode 8 or 9 the Deal to close out the season with Jerry on Slide is out of this world. If someone could point me to the show where they got that from I am going to say late 70s early 80s I would be GRATEFUL!!

The producers for fox sports who do the effects are big time Jam band fans. You will hear a lot of Phish, Dead, Panic ,Moe as they cut into commercials. If you google it there are some interesting articles and the producers even have some pics with members of the band.

Hey fam,

one of my favorite podcasts, Midnight, On Earth w/ Jake Weaver, had Wendy Weir as a guest on this week and it is shockingly amazing. It goes so deep into to spiritual aspects of the GD experience, and really adds a lot of powerful information to the whole thing.

Literally everyone who is a GD or Jerry fan should check out this episode.. OMG!

Midnight, On Earth w/ Jake Weaver

Episode 108 - Channeling Jerry Garcia & The Metaphysical Grateful Dead w/ Wendy Weir

Its on all the streaming platforms, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.. and the show's website

This is MUST LISTEN episode for all GD fam... no joke.. there are some things that have never ever been discussed before about Jerry and Bob.

I actually really love this podcast. there is no other like it out there, the guests are amazing. the host asks the best questions, and its always compelling. The host is also a big deadhead, so in the midst of the big topics they cover Jerry usually pops up from time to time. CHECK IT OUT!
