Mickey added alot to the sound with his all world percussion but took away some of the ability to change direction mid jam that Billy on his own was the master of.

Thanks for the awesome and sweet sounds last night, Mickey. I took my oldest son to the show and we had a grape time.
Have you seen such atrocities, Mr. Hunt?
I've seen the fork...
Hey Y'all,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Global Drum Project is featured in the Jan./ Feb. '08 issue of Global Rhythm. It's a great read for anyone interested!
Mickey & Hussain talk about the new album, drums (of coarse!), cultural and musical heritage, and much more!
Global Rhythm offers a FREE digital version of magazine online:

Recently I got to work on a cool story for the Rex Foundation concerning a project Mickey had connected them with--a woman who's a drum circle leader who got invited to Iraq to teach people drumming as a peacemaking tool. Part of the story--a Mickey interview, which is available as both text and MP3. Check it out!
Hey- I'm all for it. God bless you and keep you in his protective hands Christine Stevens. We need a paradigm shift, and I can't think of a better way to do it!
BTW- Whatever happened to The Rhythm Devils?? They rocked my world in the fall of '06, and never heard anything since. Amazing arrangement with Mickey, Billy, Mike Gordon, Steve Kimmock, etc. Just curious if anyone knows.
