Progressive Rock Vine

started by Ursa Minor

I thought this would be nice for a change and acknowledgement of a unique occurence in rock history caled the "progressive rock" movement. This is some of most incredible music and certainly some of the most complex music that has ever been composed in the 20th century. Homer Simpson said it best "everybody knows that rock music peaked in 1974" and I think he may have been onto something! For those who were around to witness such music live, take that experience to heart and cherish, it was special. Rock music has never been able to catch up to this level of musicianship and orchestration. -- Ursa Minor

Yes?

Any idea when and where that show is really from? It is listed as Wembley 10/28/72 here, but on the disc 10/28/79. I can't find any evidence of a 10/28/79 show, and Setlist.com lists 10/28/72 as a Pennsylvania show (with no setlist available). Thanks!

Maile to dstache today.

Ursa Minor - thanks for the vine and enlarging my musical world.

Tripping down Memory Lane...

...well, not tripping back then but I'd certainly get all red-eyed with the headphones on listening to this stuff back in the day. Hi, the Progressive Rock Vine has arrived, and should get headed to DaveC after the weekend.

Cheers,
MarkintheDark
