It's impossible to rationally discuss 7/9/95. It's also impossible for me to listen to this show all the way through. It's too sloppily played and too emotionally loaded. I do return to the show on this date every year to listen to So Many Roads and Childhood's End. In a way I guess it really did mark my childhood's end (although I opted out of shows the middle of the fall '94). I believe Dead was saying goodbye. Remarked so that night...unbroken chain (only 2nd time or something, I've read)...He's Gone, This could be the Last Time ad incredible Stella Blue in an otherwise almost soul-less 2nd set. Glad I caught I Pittsburgh show thta sumer...would hate for this one to be my final memory.Played great songs but really without any fire for the most part.

This was a free afternoon concert. - In 1978, the Grateful Dead played Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. - In 1981, the Grateful Dead played the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO. - In 1984, the Grateful dead played Alpine Valley Music Theater in E. Then they had their way and tore this whole building down.
