Not Berkeley
This show was in Columbus, OH. Of the handful I attended, this tops my list.

My hometown and my very first show. I hadn't gotten "IT" yet but still thoroughly enjoyed myself and the music.

Damn, I thought we were in Cleveland. My first show and I still remember parts of it.
First Dead show
I was 14 and checked out every show that came around -- I had never seen anything like this one. Great show; i wish i had been older and able to appreciate it even more.
Getting "it"
This was my first show. I was in the front row of the balcony (it's a theatre). I got "it" during the long Deal coda at the end of the first set. I think "Doncha let that deal go down..." is sung more than 40 times. I remember quite a few moments from this show. During the drums, there were a lot of people on stage at one point. I swear I remember Garcia with a tambourine. I remember how disappointed I was with the encore. What did I know - it was my first show! I wanted to hear Sugar Magnolia or Truckin, not some pop song from the radio.
