Bushnell Park was allways cool to hang out at during a dead run in Hartford ...I remember this show we were 8th row on the floor a little to the right of center. The Iko opener was really cool, Peggy-O was sweet I remember Jerry sometime during the show doing these big Pete Townsend arm swings on the gituar..Hartford was allways a good place to see a show ...anyone remember hanging out at Margaritaville ??
The most memorable part of it happend before on Asylum St. We parked on the east end of Hartford and started our walk, as we got up to Trumball St. a man comes riding a bike past us and says "hey the band is coming in a van" . Just then a van approaches and it was all of them . I approached Bobby who was in the passenger seat , made a jester to him and looked in the back at Jerry . I seem to remember him leaning on briefcase of some sort and kind of shot a smile and nod at us.
This was also the day I got my drivers license.
I have the disc now and listen to it pretty frequent, It has a wicked Other One and Birdsong.
I remember going to Margaritaville after Whaler games
Location
Spring of my Frosh year at Trin Coll in Hartford. I had about ten friends staying in my dorm, including a couple guys from UVM who I didn't know but were friends of friends - and became friends thereafter. We chilled at Trin all day of the show and arrived downtown about an hour before the show. Hartford PD was hustling all the Heads out of Bushnell Park and it was a major scene. Once inside the Civ Center we found some seats and settled in for a pretty good show. I recall the Peggy-O was nice (as usual). Also the Not Fade left the crowd wanting more (as usual).
