Skinnydipping at the Hilton, after the Grateful dead show 06 Dec

I was one of those skinny dippers. I am from New Jersey but was with my Minnesota friends. That was an epic night. 20 to 30 of us just relaxing in the pool. Me... I was the one doing butterfly while swimming laps. All good things must come to an end and we were escorted out by a very "confused" Hotel detective who was later heard telling the Hotel manager " I don't know how the hell they got in here !"

    Good ole Grateful Dead
As I wrote on archives this show is from 1 of my favorite years, Why? Because it's just the boys with no frills no light show like later years just the stage lights that were so mellow back then along with the Band playing nasty raw night after night shows.

I was a soph. in High school. My dad picked us up and we were all tripping. I remember the lot was bare..it was very cold...my buddy gave a guy change and about 45 mn later the same guy had circled th arena and asked him again.I was bored after a while, because I just did not get on the bus 'till the next year. I remember thinking, "Oh my god, how does this old fucker play like that"...and it was like nothing I had heard before. Swell time.

I turned on in 1980 and was on the bus by early 1981. This was the first opportunity to catch a show and it was pretty cool! The hall was not full and I was able to hang out and groove right in the middle of the floor. It was the first of many and I am still on the bus always going furthur!

My friend William and I camped out at Rosemont for these tickets for 3 nights and pulled the whole front row. All of our friends were there with us. I can't imagine a better way to see my first show. Needless to say, I was hooked.after this. I brought my camera with a bunch of film, but they stopped us and made us take the camera back. I still had the film so I had someone with a camera take some pictures for me in exchange for a couple rolls of film. I have no idea where the negatives are now. You could hear the airplanes landing at O'hare and I think Bobby even said somethign about it at one point Search Engine Optimization

1st time I went to the Rosemont Horrendous. Hated it. That may be why I don't remember the show. Glad I have my ticket stub.

4 of us had as much fun as four people could. actually lisa 8mm videoed this show, though its a bit indicative of the waves of fun that came our way. anyone remember wandering the corridors, and some guy sticking orange circle stickets on ya? ha! "you're on the bus!"
