The best show I ever experienced. I close my eyes and I feel the sunshine, hear the music, feel the crowd go nuts as they break out Here Comes Sunshine after all those years! Whenever I feel sad or the sky is cold and gray I just pop that cd into the player and I'm there again. Samson & Delilah brought the house down with Bill & Mickey bangin' those drumz! You know my love will not fade away....Miss you Jerry
Because the traffic was a nightmare and we missed the first set the night before, we went REAL early and got a choice parking spot. We hard a sound check - You could tell they were noodling with HCS. We had no idea they would actually play it... I had forgot about the storm until I read your older posts (guys in TX/NM) - I remember now all the weather stories people were telling us about - and then they break HCS out! What a great band!!
After Saturdays show and knowing the setlists from Denver I was hoping for something new. I guess I felt that way before every show! Here Comes Sunshine was a pleasant surprise. I loved it as the desert sun shined. Second set was nice, especially Crazy Fingers. Jerry noodled around with the beginning and as he sang I was glad to have him back. Space-->Last Time was also enjoyable. Overall the weekend festivities put a smile back on my face and a jump in my step.
... to the space>Last Time. I never knew Bob Bralove was the person responsible for those electronic intros into drumz. Thought this show had a nice space but I can see why people were relieved when it was over. The sound of crashing glass is not a sound you hear often during a performance of any band, never mind the GD.
Was Awwwesoooome!
"I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel. Can't win for tryin. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time. Gonna make em shine."
Location
It was my best birthday EVER. Great friends from NYC got me tickets for the shows and came out for a visit.Turned 21 with a wonderful group of folks and my favorite set list.
