    Classy small venue
This venue has a seating capacity of only about 2,700. I saw this show the night after seeing them at the Rosemont Horizon outside Chicago, which holds about 20,000. Huge difference in size but they played the hell out of both shows. The Des Moines Civic Center sees more broadway touring shows than music. I think by '81 it was very rare for them to play in such an intimate setting. It was very clean and genteel, unlike the sports arena the night before. There was even a coat check!
