    The Rail
I took my buddy Bo to this show....It was his first time. We were walking in a circle around the Forum when we decided to ask one of the guards if he would let us in early. Suprisingly, he took our tickets and let us in. We walked right up to the rail under Bobby's microphone in the "spit on me" zone. We were dancin' so hard to Sat Nite that we forgot to sit down early, and our neighbors took all the real estate at our feet. So, we had to stand for the rest of the night. Lesson Learned.

I remember this night as a life lesson learned. I attended this show with a former roommate from Univ of Arizona with some of his buddies from SDSU. We showed up in the lot and from somewhere came a giant bag of fungi. We all helped ourselves to double and triple handfulls. And then I said hey guys, I got a nosebleed seat way high up over Phils side and I went into the show. I didnt know Jason and his "friends" kept munching and went into the show later. I took my seat next to a bearded deadhead and we were at the top of the forum and you know we had huge conversations with each other without words. We mostly grunted and laughed like loons, offering pipes back and forth and I had a great show. I never thought Id see a Row Jimmy live and that was a great highlighlong story short.....I came back to car, so called Friends showed withoutJason and the car keys. I asked where did Jay go and they said he felt sick at the set change and went outside. ,,,,and you didnt go with him I asked? Well, Jason went to the hospital raving like a loon, trying to bite the doctors and I somehow found a ride home but I learned hey help your brothers and sisters, dont let them wander off without a friend to help them out. Jason recovered but choose your "friends" carefully.

My first show. Received 4 free tickets from my aunt who worked for Dr. Jerry Buss selling Laker tickets. It was a first experience at a GD show. We left during the 2nd set, the rest is history...

I bought a great window sticker in the parking lot for this show...it was the skull with the "Grateful Dead" printed using the same font style as the Lakers logo. Wish I still had it.
