There is only 1 circulating recording, aud.cole.19083, which I grade as AUD B (it's B/B+ at best), listenable but difficult to hear the subtleties which are essential to the Dead's performances. Set 1 features some nice solos from Jerry (TLEO, BE Women, FotD), and set 2 has a really nice jam in Playing and a surprise Terrapin (the rest of the set is predictable rock & roll for a Detroit audience). It's well done though. It might even be really well done but it is tough to tell from the recording. Good+ show, 8/10

    Groesbeck is correct that it
Groesbeck is correct that it was in Detroit; but incorrect to state it was Brent. Brent did not make his debut until 4/22/79. This was Keith, but in fact Donna had gone home to California.

Yes, I stand corrected that Brent performed at this show. Yes, it was Keith minus Donna.🎹

This show is memorable as it was performed in the smallest venue I have ever seen the band perform in, just about 4,000 capacity. Also, it's noteworthy as it was the first time I saw them post Keith and Donna. In fact, at the time I wasn't aware that they were out of the band and that Brent was in. Nevertheless it was a rockin' show! Further, it's worth noting that this show was actually in Detroit, MI, not Portland, OR.

Sunday night, the piano being tuned for hours. "We'd like to apologize for the trucks since they can't apologize for themselves. We started late, so we're gonna play late." Where is Donna, we all ask.
