I had a field ticket, but found my way behind the stage. I remember that it rained so hard during Music, the band was cooking so hard, it was fantastic dancing and getting pelted with big fat raindrops, lightning flashing around. Then the big surprise, Morning Dew again! With the Nevilles no less. The tapes don't do this justice, just because the elements were such a big part of the experience. I kept going back to Giants Stadium too, but never enjoyed it as much as these two shows. Maybe it needed to rain more.

This show was a great time. I remember it was so hot, we welcomed the rain. ...but the security guards (yellow meanies) were serious jerks. This was the first time I heard Foolish Heart. I wasn't sure what to make of it. I asked the guy in front of me what the song was... he said Ripple :-)
Morning Dew was awesome. The rain had cleared and the vibe was intense. Anyone remember the low flying jets over the stadium during that tune? Wow. I hope I didn't imagine them!
I attended this show with the porpoise who on 6-28-07 commented on this show. A good time was had by all.

Kept thinking when is the Mission in the rain coming! Would have been perfect.
"Nothing to tell now, let the words be yours I am done with mine"
My brother Chris and I created a banner with a skeleton on a lounge chair drinking from a martini glass, basking in the light.
The banner read, 'Shine the Light on Me'...
We hung it behind the soundboard/taping section on the fencing.
It was kinda strange because there was this raging show going on all around us and the area that we hung our banner became this meditation area, with people just chilling out on the damp ground.
Good times
Still have the t-shirt...
I finally "got it" later that year after several more shows and never stopped...even after they did.

does anyone remember the steal your face vw van that was serving up hundreds of free grilled cheese sandwiches after the show.
Not only did Jerry sing you know you bound to wind up wet ,the lightning perfectly timed when Bobby sang the women laughed and children screamed,we all did from the bolt that cracked just then.I think my highlight this night was after the downpour and set break, the foolishheart was kinda dreamy.
The lightening and thunder and rain were actually fun as it was such a hot day and the rain was warm and powerful. I remember as the upper decks filled with water, huge rivers of brown water were cascading down on the people in the lower tiers who were dancing and reveling in it! What a blast! Everyone got totally drenched.

Great show..............Bad storm!!
End of 1set it started pouring.........It came down by the buckets full. I was on the field and they had some plastic covering it......Soooooooooo.........that made it like a pool...I was standing in 4 inch's of water, people were playing slip and slid..........it was funny.
Then during intermision.........Someone came out on the stage (road manager?) and said......"ok people, a tornado was seen just 7 miles from here and with all this lighting were telling everyone to PLEASE GET OF THE FIELD, don't panic....SEEK SHELTER AND GET OFF THE FEILD!!
Ok,,,,,,,,,,and here I am standing in 4 inch's of water......GREAT!!
I did not move and decided that if lighting hit the feild of water, I would just jump a few inch's above it..............lol
Nice foolish jam before Foolish Heart.........Just another light was in favor of all the lighting...........nicely done Brent.
The LONGEST drum solo that I ever been to. Iko was fucking HOT!!! The whole show, even with the storm was fucking HOT!!
