    Amazing Night

My first Dead show. Had seen Jerry's band at the Keystone Berkeley.
Crowd was of the highest energy. The band had taken Thursday night off and was in great form.
At the end of the show the crowd was wild, Bill Graham started playing Greensleeves over and over, then turning on the houselights.
Crowd remained on their feet screaming. Crew turned off all the amps. Crowd was demanding more.
The houselights went down, the amps got turned back on.
The band came back and played one more song. The crowd danced out into the streets.

    High Time
Yes I remember being at this show, this was a fun run of 6 shows, the return of the Dead to the Bay Area in a real run rather than 1975 stealth shows. It was such a fun intimate theater I was dancing in the aisle it was very loose there. Not knowing what they had played on the east coast, I was thrilled to hear them bring out Cosmic Charlie, my first one! And a sweet High Time, that was so cool.

My eigth Dead show. A very tough ticket. I ended up sitting downstairs under the balcony overhang so the sound was muddy. Orpheum very strange for a Dead show. No smoking or eating allowed. I had the best time at home taping the 7-18-1974 show off the radio.

My awesome parents bought me tickets to the second three shows! They were on their way to a wedding in the East Bay, saw the line at and stood in line wearing their wedding outfits to buy tickets for me! Wow.
