    Scarlet-Fire Dark Star Jam
I recall the highest point of the show was the jam between Scarlet and Fire. They have a Dark Star moment and have the jam swirling around with more and more intensity until it breaks into the total ecstasy blow-out. I never saw or heard them do it like this on that jam ever again.

    Fun trip
The years and the miles have all kept on rolling by. . . . Night before the show, sitting in a rundown little bar in Ruston, LA planning the road trip. Evening started with about a dozen going. Ended with myself and one other determined to roll. Early morning and she's at the doorstep ready to head north. Beat up Datsun B-?. . . no AC. . . radio had a mind of its own. Me, KW, a bag of smoke, and no tickets - sounds like a plan! Rolled (literally) across Arkansas and Missouri. Beautiful day and good times. Watching the highway signs and the fields go by. Managed to "find" St. Louis! Parked the ride and followed the other kind souls to the Auditorium. Miracle tickets x 2! Thanks! Inside. Find the seats. Right in the middle of a group that were there to watch the "freaks" (where was a mirror when I needed one). Oh well, over the rail and onto the floor. KW c'mon down! Dancing thru the crowd. . . Soundboard(?!?) and someone shares a smoke. . . "left a smoking crater of my mind". . . Danced all night. Good times. . . Scattered memories of standing beneath the Arch. . . watching the river flow. . . find the car and head south. . . fall asleep in a roadside park. . . truckstop diner breakfast (cooks felt sorry for us and added extra chow). . . finally rolling into Ruston. . . back to the bar and planning the next one. . . Thanks, guys. It was a long, strange trip. And, I enjoyed every minute of the ride. Wish I could remember more, but the memories come and go. Maybe its better that wat. . .
