    1st show via hitch-hike from N.Y. (17yrs old)
My first of many. Mike & I hitch-hiked from Rochester, NY to this show. Got there an hour before show started with two wild & crazy guys that picked us up in Wisconsin. They had been driving up from Chicago. Took us the 3 allotted days we had, broke, Mike had a ticket & I didn't. We had an hour to get me a ticket. Got fronted money, made it back- paid it back! Bought me a ticket & entered with a "crest" still on my tongue. Thats how it all began. Rode the tour all the way back into the fall. I was riding to Alpine on a school bus w/Mitch & Barb. So many miracle making people I met!!! Sooo many!!! God Bless Them All!!! P.S. The parking lot scene was- "fireworks, calliopes, & clowns"

Sun will Shine in My backdoor Someday
I clearly remember the use of several golden spotlights lighting up the rear of the auditorium when the words "the sun will shine in my backdoor someday" were sung. Will never forget it. I often sing that line and remember that night when I hit bad times. Bobby singing the words and pointing to the back. My last show until the alpine family reunion - that was spectacular, even though he was gone.

    What a second set...
Drove up for Cincy for this. Just reading the set list still gives me chills, especially the second set. A friend from work made the drive with me. The whole trip... the drive up, the show, the drive back...was a blast.
