    My wifes first show
My wife of nearly 20 years and I were just dating at the time. Living in Pennsylvania, we decided to take a trip to CA to visit some of my family. I announced to her on our flight out that I had tix for a Grateful Dead concert on the 19th. She had never been to a show but knew that I was an avid fan. Surprised and a little skeptical she agreed to attend. After the show the Dead's extended family had one new member. We attended many more shows together after that.

This the only show i ever left saying, that was the best show i ever saw. I had been seeing the Dead since 1973, and saw hundreds of shows....the set list is very typical, nothing extrordinary, but the playing was simply fantastic. The second set was just pure bliss. Check out Jerry's second lead in the Rider.
