    My final show

I just couldn't do it anymore. With all the gate crashing and troubles that were following the band, I just couldn't do it anymore. The loss of Brent he was a big loss for me. I loved Vince and he was finally coming into his own in the band, but I was tired and needed to move on. Sad. But at least I can relive the memories of the wonderful shows through my Dave's Picks subscription, Internet Archive and the Deadhead Archives app. God bless the tapers

    fantastic time!
Tickets said obstructed view...no obstruction, how delightful is that?! I was with my first true love and my brother for these shows ~ my brother's first and only shows. Truly was one of the best times I've had in Chicago. I loved that Steve Miller Band was opening, but there were hardly any fans in there to listen. Felt kind of bad for the band, but mrfm2d. :) After 2 ridiculously fun days on lot buying goodies/goods/hair wraps, etc, 2 nights of beauty being poured into our ears and the bonus ended up being that The Taste of Chicago was the day after the 2nd show. I don't know how we managed to get home after all of that fun and food without all of us passing out into a carb coma. Great memories made that weekend.

I had a seat on the floor, but everyone was standing on their chairs. My chair must have had a very large and/or enthusiastic person in in the night before, because the front feet of it were punched through the tarp so it was leaning forward pretty badly. I hung out with my friends a few rows back and danced at the edge of the aisle. There was a line of wide masking tape running down the center of the aisle, and the local security guard was making sure people stayed off the tape all night. At one point, Rock-Med came FLYING down the aisle with someone on a stretcher, and everyone in the aisles who had been avoiding the security guard's flashlight all night ducked into their respective rows in no time flat. Right after that, the guard straightened his shirt collar in a Dangerfieldesque way and said "That's why ya gotta stay off my tape!" ". . . Music is the best!" (fz)

Gotta give your first show 5 stars. I was on the bus already but this threw me in the seat and put the seatbelt on. I remember how much people told me about Jerry before this show but it was Bobby that blew me away in the 2nd set. The most we can do is to do our best!

I distinctly remember they had these giant round screens with hydraulic operated lights that swirled and mixed colors with the music. Between sets they did this face morph with each band members face morphing into the others.Shakedown street was huge and the selection was unbelievable.Great time was had by all.

Don't really see what all the fuss is about, I thought this run was distinctly inferior to the band I'd been listening to for the past 8 years and quit going. Maybe I was wrong about these shows, but the direction was unmistakable.

This was perhaps one of the weakest shows of the MANY I attended, but it was better than no show at all.

It was not as great a show as others, as Jerry was hardly able to stand on his own. Sad that. But considering all, so glad to be a part of setting up the gig and attending. I remember Steve began to play and I was hitting a balloon.Everyone around me in Deadville just kind of looked around and kept on keepin on! I laughed out loud in that special N.O. voice and did the same
