    Great show!

This was my second show at the Gahden, after 5/7/77. It was fantastic in the room. Somehow the tapes I've heard don't do it justice. The first set was nicely paced, but the second set was just smoking. The drums into Saint were fantastic, followed by an excellent Wharf Rat. I saw them again there in September of '82, but that didn't measure up to either of these fine shows.

    welcome to Boston
Real great show, my first at the old Gah-den. Worst moment was during the very quiet second set Ship of Fools when some drunk (local?) kept screaming JERRY JERRY at the top of his lungs for almost the entire song, while the rest of the auditorium was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. Very incongruous and needless to say a bad reflection on the Boston audience.
