Not much of a stand out but.Being a major fan of these guys decided to count how many times saw the boys in the home state of Cali, to my amazement this show is my 125th. To me that's cosmically odd to see them 125 time in one state alone. Out of 476 total shows almost a 4th of them in one state. Might catch some flack for being compulsive from family yet I do not have any regrets. We use to say in the end the band could sellout 3 nights at the town dump. Well proofs in the ruble I guess cause here we are at the old landfill, not sure if they sold this one out though. But ya they could play anywhere and sell out.

    First Show
I'd been made redundant in London a few months earlier, with a big enough payoff to hit the road. Spent a few months in Australia, and then to California.Wanted to see Zappa and the Dead 'cos I'd missed Frank in '88 and the Dead 'never' came to the UK. It was the days before the interweb so I didn't know Zappa had stopped touring (for good). But in LA I saw a poster for the Shoreline run and grabbed a hire car. Sat on the grass talking to lovely, friendly people, listened to some shit-hot music, with a near perfect set-list, and wondered if it could ever get better than this? I still remember Jerry noddling for hours(?) before the gig started alone on stage. And dancing like a jack-ass to Just a Little Light. That night in San Francisco, I parked on the wrong side of the road, and my car got towed...
