Brent was in rare form
I think this was the night Brent fell off his bench. Or one of the nights anyway.
After this show we headed to the rainbow gathering in the Keys where a bunch of freaks were sure that UFOs were landing that night.
Joann, Ginger, Tim, you guys out there?
I got thrown out of the
I got thrown out of the second row during Estimated Prophet for dancing in the aisles

Never quite that far out there again...
After attending Dead shows for 17 years (starting in fall '72), this was definitely the last GREAT one I had the pleasure to attend. I saw them a bunch of times way after that, but none could equal the "x" factor of that night.
Hitting the nail right on the HEAD!!
"x" factor...............I concur...................
My 1st Dark Star............WOW.........
There was something in the air for sure that night!!
Maybe we can get David to pull a few songs out of the vault for us...............Plesae David................pretty please with sugar on it..................LOL
Weir sitting in front of drums during (or some of it)..... Bid you Goodnite

Yup. Front end, second set. Estimated>Blow Away>Dark Star.
Blown Away
The psychedelia in "Dark Star" got so loud I felt like sheets of steel were slamming me into the floor of the auditorium. Hart really worked that pythagorean monochord.
Mail order gave me 1st row
Mail order gave me 1st row in front of Jerry. Thank you GDTS!!!!!!!! Thank you Calico!!!!!!!!
Private Show
I work ITB, and after loading in show barracades, Jerry came out to tune (alone), noticed by struk stare, looked up over his specks, smiled and plugged in to play a 4-5 minute solo session to just me and the folks cleaning in the house. I swear to God, the coolest thing EVER in my 24 years of setting up shows. And i got some good ones to tell;)
And it was my only DarkStar.
Wow
