Second Set was pure magic !
I caught nearly all of the 93 tour, I bumped into an old friend who had a 6th row ticket Jerry side which he traded to me for my nosebleed seat, he didn't want to sit, just dance behind the stage. Out of the 43 Dead shows I attended this was the best seat I ever had, and what a show to get it for ! I ended up sitting next to two of the lighting crew for the boys, even they were stunned by the second set. Without a doubt The Best Dead Set I have ever witnessed first hand. They really lit it up, just brilliant stuff.

Follow up t the Giants Stadium show.
Another great show, but after Rutherford NJ. the previous year. And the Garden in "91" I'd seen the BEST. A bit of a rowdy crowd in a HOT VENUE !

I remember during that pre drumz, the elation of the first dark star in philly since 73, then the blistering terrapin, just feeling the elation that was overflowing in the room. It might have been as high as I have ever been, and I mean that in the best way. An all timer for me, right up there with RFK 90 and 10/16/89, and 3/24/90. I was so charged up by this super set, I got rid of my ticket for the last night and went home. I got all I needed from the fall tour from this show, and didn't need any more shows till 94. I got shut out on mail order going for the Rex Benefits though. Had I got those, I probably would have gone. Eternal Consciousness Enjoyin the Ride, Haybrown

I rated 3 stars cause of the Spectrum, plus I was in the back rows. I was wishing i could've been toward the front more so I could really feel & hear the sound. Besides that I think the band rocked the house. An excellent set list but unlike Haybrowns comment I couldn't get enough & I'd like to get a good quality bootleg of that show. Orb.

i had moved from philly in august, but there was no way i wasn't going to the 3 nite run. i was solo b/c my buddy couldn't get tix. some pretty young head ask me the subject line's question (i guess i wasn't looking happy) and i thought, "scarlet>fire>playin'>dark star. what the fuck am i sullen about? i told her that this is my favorite show and the boys rewarded me w/ a smokin' terrapin! like haybrown above, i went back to my buddy's pad and gave him my ticket for the next night b/c i knew it couldn't get better than this night. the icing would have been if the braves beat the phillies in the NLCS, but oh well.

This show, my all time favorite actually being played in its entirity on the GD channel as I write this bringing back some incredilble memories and lack there of....Best 2nd set I'd ever seen/heard. If that didn't blow my mind the "purple paw prints" certianly did!!!

This whole '93 run was solid but I consider this show the last "great" GD show I attended as '94 was an ugly year and you know what happened in '95. This is the sickest Same Thing I've ever heard as the song some how turned into a gooey liquid that started dripping from the Spectrum ceiling (you know what i'm trying to say). No comments necessary for the second set. Just look at it on paper. Yes, it was that good. "He not busy being born is busy dying." - Bob Dylan
