JonnyL They started by filming a Dustin Hoffman movie-Who is Harry kellerman-I think. Garcia was havin trouble during Black Peter in the acoustic set-said "This is insane" and cut it short. the ridrs came on.. I remember a great "other one"-the light show was showin a video of travelin across a bridge o t be yng agin
we were all so f*****d up when we got in not only were they filming but that was also the same day HENDRIX died and my friends got got back from SF with some unbelivable stuff also was first show for my girlfriend now my wife of 32 yrs she always complained she only got to see one show while me and my friends went to the rest this was at the height of the midnight shows lighting magnesium strips and the gong being struck just the right time it really was a 6-7 hour orgasm
Yes, the name of the Dustin Hoffman movie is "Who Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying All Those Terrible Things About Me." I have it on video, and it's a pretty dated movie, not too thrilling. The Fillmore East footage is the best thing about it. Author Shel Silverstein, Dustin Hoffman and Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show are jamming onstage, and an "obstreperous band of deadheads" is in audience. The movie is not on DVD apparently, only on VHS.
Several of us from the burbs went that night. Had tickets in advance. Fantastic concert!.
