My first show
I was a freshman at Lehigh. Had a close friend who was already a Deadhead and was going to pharmacy school in Philly. She called and said, "Buy tickets - I'm coming!" I was hooked from the first note. If I recall correctly, the tickets were dirt-cheap, too. Maybe $12?

ok more words, a very unusual Scarlet > Fire
arrived late, no ticket, was miracled & got in on a free giveaway when there were NO tickets to be had. Thanks to the kind soul who gave me his wife's ticket who had not shown up by the start of set 2. It WAS a small miracle I got in just after Might as Well.
5 years to the day from my first show, this was a milestone in my GD concert going experience. Venue was hard to locate in the dark out in the middle of nowhere & unsure of any direction. Finally found it. Late & no ticket. I see 100 or more folks wanting a ticket & the show is half over.
I had a contact backstage (just a name) to use & that person gave me his wife's unused ticket. What a blessing to get in after the mad rush to get there from Wash DC at 5:00 rush hour. It was crazy traffic & I had NO IDEA how to get there.
One of only 2 GD shows I was late for in 19 years but I got IN. For FREE too. Thank you kind stranger who I used to know the name of back then. Hope your wife got in if she showed up. Tell her her ticket was MOST gratefully used by a lone time fan who broke his ass to get there.
