I had some great seats pavillion close to the front like 12 rows back on Jerry's side..I have some photos I may post them as well..I remember the Wolf Guitar was being used Rosebud was being Midi fied? I think the Death Dont is the best guitar work from Jerry In a while..the entire Band was in rare form..I think the hometown shows enhanced the band memebers playing and enthusiasm greatly..

Death Dont...

I was blown away when the boys broke that one out! (considering I was 2...lol) The other highlight was the Stranger>Franklins although they did this a few times in the late 80s I think it was the first time I heard it live this way. I agree with Jaybird, The Midi setups that started this year were amazing!

my fisr show

stonyb sez I was basically a metal head, but audiophile, too
had read, and heard, about the deads sound, but was basically unfilmilary with the music, boy, why did I wait so long? I thought RUSH, & YES, had good sound, but holly
batman, this was an, entireally new experience. I knew my
musical, & life philosiphy had changed, I saw brent 3 times
total, & 27 shows overall, compared to seeing say rush 7 times, over 20 years. Shoreline, Oakland collisieum,
Silver bowl VEGAS, BEST EVER TIMES OF MY LIFE!
Bird song, Terrapin, Magnolia, the shoreline lawn. I
WILL NEVER FORGET

hot hot stuff. Really fun run of shows.

Best 3 day run for me at Shoreline

Several big things happened to me on this jaunt to California.

I met Linda the one true love of my life that never materialized in to a relationship. Linda if you read this I often still think of you Sugarey even though I am a gray old man now..

Also had a nice talk in the vendor area with Uncle BoBo. Last time I think I was never to see him again.

As far as the show. Excellent!!! All three shows were.

That's what the tickets said. I stared at them in disbelief thinking that somebody in the GD ticket office must have screwed up. I then thought "Man I can't believe the Dead hooked me up with 2nd row tickets." But when we got there we discovered that we were actually on the FRONT row. I was literally staring up into Garcia's nostrils when he busted out the first notes of Death Don't. To say the crowd exploded in a frenzy would be quite an understatement.

keeping a straight face on "Death Don't have No Mercy" - sure
