This day was sooooo hot and the sun beat down soooo hard on the band....Jerry need to step out to get cooled down...still a great performance. The Wheel was a nice treat....and everything that followed was sweet....Rossboy777

Day Tripper!

This was the only time that I ever really enjoyed seeing Day shows. Beautiful & HOT weather which after all of the annual Red Rocks rainouts was a nice change. A bunch of us drove out from Chicago in a caravan and stayed at my brother place. I had a pickup with an open bed and 3 people in the back the whole way. Someone had this gorilla mask that they wore most of the way scarring people on I80. I remember the Lone Ranger soundtracks they were running between sets. These were crazy magical times!

We stayed at Chief Hosa Campground. We drove from Kansas City with no tickets and no money, but we climbed an apple tree before we left. We traded apples for stuff all week. I ended up getting in backstage on the guest list with some nice friend I met. (Thanks!!!)
