Well you can't go to a DEAD show with a bunch of beer swilling, golf carting rednecks without turning into one. Hence, one of the above notable qouteables ( He called me a fag!!! ).
Grateful show with Bruce and some seriously grand Jerry!!!
I have not seen any mention of Mr. Bones at this run of shows. As I recall, his leg fell of in Louisville, He didn't make an appearance in Pittsburgh, but he was back in Raleigh.
Sandstone was definitely the hot show weather wise, but Cardinal was the best because disco was born, The Disco Van!Disco Dave, J.T., Skid, and I made our way from the show to the van, propped open the back doors and hung the speakers that we had been stepping and sleeping on since Berkeley, and blared our Bee Gees. We were met with an enthusiastic response, and before we knew it, at least a hundred people were dancing in the lot, even offering us their own disco treasures to play. We happily disco-ed our way through the rest of the tour!
