We had in and out privileges in '83 and could go up to our hotel room during the break....until stupid people, aka bad apples, ruined it for the rest. They stole the hand stamp they were using. Imagine being able to run to your room upstairs, crack a cold one, grab extra batteries, etc. during the break.
