30 Days of Dead November 21
i was surprised to have a syncing issue; doesn't usually happen with a CM. but i'm still certain, and had to get my guess in - time running out today.
i'll know soon (~);-}
I think the 30 daily winners will go into a draw for the grand prize , if not why have a daily winner . 1 in 30 chance , not bad .
but as another poster pointed out a few days ago, if you look at the top of the page it states "Guess the venue and date correctly and you'll be automatically entered to win our Grand Prize". And this from the official rules "All those that submitted correct answers to the on-screen questions will be automatically entered into the random drawing described below for the chance to win the “Grand Prize” described below". Doesn't say only the daily winner, it says anyone who guesses correctly. I agree with you though, what is the point of declaring a daily "winner" if you don't win anything? Last year's daily prizes were pretty sweet, made it seem more worth the effort. I've gotten a few right this time but can't seem to find the time it takes to get this right every day.
Is everyone who got the show right entered to win? Or only the first one to get it right? Or is there a prize everyday and a daily winner? I've gotten a couple right but not sure how it works… Anyone want to enlighten me?
I need a miracle on this one
This was probably the easiest one so far and I loved it, especially working from dark to dark its nice to get one fast! Love a miracle into a bertha.
Shortly after Duane Allman's death (BTW yesterday he would have been 67 years old) the remaining brothers played a gig at this venue. At the time, there was a petition going around calling for the building to be renamed Duane Allman (fill in venue name here) in brother Duane's honor. Did not pan out and the venue has been replaced.
Chicago Half-Step Uptown Theatre
Feeling pretty corny today?
It's what immediately came to mind. Scary place, that.
I got the Peel thing, Chaquitas on the River, hahaha, very sly, but never did figure out what 1/2 step was all about...
ok, Uptown, duh, as in Toodeloo. Got it. >.<
Over 110 Days of Dead since 2010 and not a single version of Eyes... Just sayin'...
So at this point Eyes would be a breakout.
And the "110 days since last dead.net eyes" banner would be flung joyously from the balcony.
And we'd all run to the payphones at intermission to call our friend who couldn't make it and he'd be all like, "oh shit, no way man". And then he'd quit that stupid job and meet us at the next show. And that would be perfect because even with the breakout it was the *next* show that was the really good one and we were all there for it. Also he's the one with the really good w**d and that helps on a long drive.
My 17th show. Great show from start to finish. Not a great venue. At end of set Phil said "for those who've been following us this whole tour, you made it happen. You are the ones who made this happen the way it did and as good as it did. For the people who live around here and go to this school have them make a better place for us to play."
Of course yesterday I got everything but the date right. 18 not 16. So don't listen to me.
Oh, and indoors.
Yesterday broke a long streak (off by a week), but today back in the fold.
Is it just me, or does it seem we are getting into a more modern/non traditional set-list as of late. I'm sure everybody has their druthers. Would be nice to get some Acoustic- maybe Cassidy/Ripple/Mexicali Blues/El Paso- from early '70s.
Anyone who needed 2012 set list for 30 days- I posted on the 19th, along with comments that were posted daily that year.
Definitely a high-energy set-beginning combo right here!
i noticed this was the first file that was tagged with the title and album, but wrong track number.
But had a different format name
day15 r6c5qus hightime
And lower case band name
only thing better would be a miracle>bertha>good lovin'!
i was also able to change my profile pic today!
hey jamgol - I don't think my profile pic is uploading. Any particular tricks?
i sat with no profile pic for a few days. then went back in and added what you see. not sure if giving it a few days of rest helped but other than that i'm not sure what i did that made it take. i'm gonna change it again to see what happens...
but it kept the one i just updated with. i'm happy with the one i have up but it appears that changing the profile pic is a hit or miss situation.
Funny how day 21 follows day 20...
I Only Wish All clues were that good!
During the summer time SiriusXm featured this show. Very well could be a future Dave's Pick. Fun setlist with some good transitions and great audio. This is a show I had speculated would be Dave's 8 cause it was pretty obvious we would get a Brent show for that.
Bring on some 84' download , spring 69' , Orpheum 76' , Fall 73 , Fall 79'
No Pig Pen songs. Where is a Easy Wind Caution or other Pig rarities?
Plus if you wanted Easy Wind just wait till Dave's 10 I think he has said before this will be 69/70 and it would include the finest Easy Wind.
I agree there needs to be more Pigpen, I would like to see Two Souls, Man's World if there is another beside 5-2-70, or a 71' good Lovin'. Pain In my heart, next time you see me , or hurts me too, The 3-22-72 download had a nice piece from Pigpen and the 4-18-70 show that is up for presage should be a great Pigpen treat for tHanksgiving
The official hint ("a great combination") threw me, because I don't think it's a great combination. But it certainly narrowed things down.
when compared to the Miracle>Shakedown combo of 1/15/79, ANYTHING else will feel like a letdown ;)
30 combos later...I thought I was getting close, and must have skipped over it...grrrrrrrrr...got it now though!
At first I looked at the wrong year for a couple guesses....then Bam!....outta left Field came this year! Nailed it on first try from this year.... ;) (~);}
I must have recognized this at some primal level
Jerry charges into Bertha, and Brent smooths the transition...
Just like a Swiss watch!
You've heard this show, I know you have, so put on your thinking caps and guess...
C'mon. I know you can do it!
crap crap crap ran out of time and had to just take a stab at last night's. missed it by a week, 4 more shows to check. if i only had ten more minutes i would have hit it. crap. my wife just haaaad to watch battlestar galactica on netflix. next year i'm moving into a hotel for the month. work all day, family wants to talk to you at night,... don't they know how important this is? and after nailing the last two maybe's (Cream puff and big rr blues) to miss this easy one due to clock runout is a real bummer. but it's all good, keeps it exciting. todays one was fun. like the combo tunes. wish there were more this year. still waiting for a stella blue......
A show from the end of this summer tour has been released as a Dick's Pick.
was the show before this one, and the day after said dick's pick. thankfully, david has recently played my 1st show in the tapers section. nice memories. many in my party thought my show was the better of the 2. i'm not sure. i love that dick's pick....
when i first saw the miracle>bertha, i was hoping it was gonna be from SPAC 84. i loved that show, and it would have been the 1st 30 days track i was at, and i was at over 150 shows...!
