i'm surprised there's little to no discussion of 4/18/70

that looks like a tasty little nugget.

an all acoustic show.

actually, one of the New Orleans 70 shows has a bunch of acoustic stuff because of sound system problems (perhaps Phil's bass)

So much nastiness. Sick of all the entitlement and undeserved criticism. If you don't like it don't order it (I love the surprises) and if you aren't happy about the artwork (seriously?) then don't look. Happy to still be here and enjoy everything that comes down the pike from the GD.

I mean

just look at all the different envelope art in Dead Letters, which barely scratches the surface of what's in the Archive, thanks to the great Eileen saving it all. And that's still going on, too!

gee

I kinda love this art, though I have no clue as to the artist or the back story. Not all variations on the skull/skeleton/roses/bolt theme are exactly my dish, but I'm really happy that generations of new artists are finding new ways to work within the genre. How else will the scene stay vibrant for centuries?

Very Relieved

First of all I don't feel like a sheep...baah...um sorry! I'm relieved that I came to dead.net because with only 14,000 subscriptions I worry I won't get here in time. Please consider having a larger printing on Dave's Picks as well as other special releases. No reason that anyone "searching for the sound" ever be left wanting.

Almanac Cover Artwork 2013-14

I understand that its totally probable a youth - grandperson or son-daughter - may have been given the chance for this almanac artwork: so may I be excused from such loyalty reaction. This picture is lacking in the affinity of intellectual promotion i would have expected from the long-range artwork and expressions that the GD Community-Family offered. The big dick, who farted looking, caged in sexuality (rainbow = gay) generics suck. Plese remember that it is not just kitten-holding bozos that created the advanced technnology appreciation of comprehensive musical presenations' generations. Thanks for keeping the faith - but I was tortured by "space case" verbage while touring and at home. So really, did that quivering spacesuit bonehead fart-or what?
