    Ramble On Rose
    I joined my Dad's New England based Grateful Dead tribute band 2 years ago after the previous rhythm guitarist departed. I tried to get the guys to do a submission last year but unfortunately we kind of dropped the ball on putting something together in time. I wanted to make sure we were able to participate in the 2018 project, so we threw a couple cameras up during one of our recent rehearsals and recorded a few different tunes. We thought this Ramble On Rose was the best of the bunch. Really enjoy checking out everyone's contributions! The music never stopped... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFfG8mR-3IM

https://youtu.be/7egZC5q10vE As a tribute to our favorite band Scott Somerville and myself, Kellen Lindley, have found it in us to enter into the #deadcoversproject submission to potentially be featured on their youtube channel and website! This is our rendition of Scarlet Begonias which was recorded live in Attic Records Studio in Peterborough, Ontario which I founded. You can find more of our band: Peace Sand Rest, and our original music at these locations below: Bandcamp: https://peacesandrest.bandcamp.com/re... Hey there! https://youtu.be/da5SaLtQ6OE Hey there! Here's my contribution to the 2018 Dead Covers Project. After last year's less than inspiring performance, both in effort and subsequent views, I tried to up the production value again. Hope you enjoy and as always thanks for watching. Check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks, Sean

When my brother bought home Live Dead and I first heard Dark Star, it literally changed my life. It was one of the pivotal moments that made me want to make music. Below is my cover of Dark Star performed on the Chapman Stick Guitar.

Very cool! You don't see a lot of Stick players out there and almost none playing Dead music. Awesome stuff! \m/ (~);}

https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/cut-the-dead-some-slack https://youtu.be/-b03aNlMFQI “In the end, this miraculous fusion—years-in-the-planning, months-in-the-making— has far exceeded whatever lofty expectations I originally had for the once-mythical slack key Dead album, and all I can say is “Mahalo plenty, Stephen!” Somewhere, Dennis Kamakahi, Gabby Pahinui, and yes, Jerry Garcia, are smiling…” – Blair Jackson, Author/Journalist/Grateful Dead Historian.

Here’s a banjo version of Rosalee McFall. I tag my videos in YouTube with DeadCoversProject but they don’t show up on the list. Is there an approval process? I know I’m a rank amateur but what does it take to get videos to show up on your page? https://youtu.be/q_8zVqy8w2g

hello -- i see only 68 videos on your youtube playlist. surely you had at least twice that in terms of submissions? some of your "videos of the day" aren't even on the list! and this was updated yesterday? just wondering if anyone's paying attention! my video is there, so advocating on behalf of those others who posted and tagged, but seem to have been left out. don't forget them! some great videos, and heads who stumble upon that playlist would be cheated if they don't get all the goods! thanks, david p.s. if y'all need some help, i'm happy to leave my fulltime job and take this over for the GD organization. let me know if you wanna see a resume. ;-)

Don't expect administrators to answer any questions or explain anything further.No one has in the last few years. I suspect an algorithm at work here. I first noticed it a couple of years ago when videos that had nothing to do with the GD or even music made their way onto the list. For example: https://youtu.be/hvrKufZ0L-o The video is called: Dance Till Your Dead / Heads Will Roll (JVH - C Remix) - Launchpad Cover - Project File Notice the title contains the words 'Dead', "Cover" and "Project" So it's not too surprising that it wound up on last years list. What is surprising is that there was no moderator checking the videos which resulted in this video landing in 55th place. It's not fair to all the folk who have put in a lot of time and effort only to be outranked by videos that have nothing to do with the Dead Covers Project. Many people have offered their services to Dead.net to help oversee and moderate the list....they should be considered. .....then again, no one from Dead.net is reading this....so there's that.

I posted a video over a month ago titled "Dead Covers Project 2018 - JPGS - The Other One" but it is not on the list. I followed all the instructions. What's the Deal?

Could we make our own playlist that includes all the chosen videos from each day in February? I checked it each day, but didn't keep track perfectly. I've also thought about a facebook group for participants to share ideas, videos, gigs, projects, etc. Maybe we could do a fundraiser for the Owsley Stanley Foundation.
