Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we’ll check out some Grateful Dead music from 1973, 1979, and 1981.
Our first stop this week is on 12/1/73 in Boston, the middle night of a three night run at the Music Hall where we have, Playing In The Band > Uncle John's Band> Playing In The Band ; Row Jimmy.
Next is the entire first set from the excellent show on 12/1/79 in Pittsburgh, where we have Jack Straw> Sugaree ; Me And My Uncle> Big River ; Loser ; Easy To Love You ; New Minglewood Blues ; Althea ; The Music Never Stopped.
Lastly this week is the end of the show from 12/6/81 in Rosemont, IL, where we have Space > Not Fade Away > Wharf Rat > Good Lovin', Brokedown Palace. This late Fall Tour of 1981 is the final Dead tour recorded to two-track reel-to-reel tapes.
