Week of October 7-13, 2019
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1985, 1988, and 1990, a good batch of Brent-era Dead.
Our first selection this week is from 6/27/85 at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, NY, where we have the end of the show featuring Space > Truckin' > Spoonful > Black Peter > Turn On Your Lovelight, It’s All Over now, Baby Blue.
Next is the second set opening sequence form the Dead’s first trip to Buckeye Lake in Hebron, OH, on 6/25/88, featuring Victim Or The Crime; Blow Away; Foolish Heart > Terrapin Station. The first three songs debuted the previous week in Minnesota and at Alpine.
Lastly this week is the excellent first set from 6/24/90 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR, where we have Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower ; When I Paint My Masterpiece ; Loose Lucy ; Just A Little Light ; Picasso Moon ; Candyman ; Let It Grow.
