I had always enjoyed the music, but hadn't come home until '93. Friends took me down to the Compton Terrace amph. and there I found my "home", the community that I had been missing. We didnt see all of the first set due to traffic and walked in through all of the people walking out, guess they thought it was over. I remember "the weight" and "watchtower" ,the band jammin until the sun hit the horizon...i clued in to the heads immediately and met some angels in the lot. I'll never forget it! I learned many lessons at that first show. a little light, a little love compasion soars on wings of doves....

Strange there is no show listed for here. I swear I saw a show there when Bruce Hornsby was filling in on keys. Funny thing happened at that show. I had such a large group of friends that we were parked across two different lots rather far away. After the show, each assumed I was with the other and I got stranded. Fortunately, I was in my home town and surrounded by heads. So, I pretty easily found a ride home. Good times! I lived in Tucson some 1 & 1/2 hours down I-10 I made the 90 and 92 shows here. Loved the venue and the fact it was close enough to the freeway to get out. If you knew the backroads it also was easy to get down to Casa Grande to avoid the traffic jams... Will miss it now that im in the NW. Eric

It was rainy but the show went on. As usual there was nothing quite like another Grateful Dead Show.

My mistake. The show was at Diablo Stadium in Tempe. May have be misnamed as Feline Field.

March 1993, heavy rain and wind during the first set; the Dead compensated by rocking out an uptempo set. This was followed by the mellowest second set I ever heard.

1st Here comes sunshine in 20 years!
