What a jam!
The jam following drumz into the Playin' Reprise is one of the most exciting pieces played by Jerry and Bobby in 1979. Sadly, this does not exist in the vault. The rest of the show is sick, and bobby's comment about Phil "last being seen with space aliens" before the second set is priceless, but the real magic is when Jerry and Bobby play their Space Calypso duet out of drumz and into the PITB reprise. Get you ears around this jam!
Popcorn flying!
I remember the drummer throwing popcorn in the air at the end of Johnny B. Goode. Then Billy (I think) said it was Chuck Berry's birthday (which it wasn't).

thoughts
A pretty good show, definitely better than the previous 2 shows. For me, Shakedown is the only stellar song, but Jack-a-Roe, the cowboy combo, Stagger, Miracle, Terrapin, and Playing are all very well done. Others have pointed to the jam out of drums, before the Playing reprise, and I agree it is interesting and enjoyable, but I wouldn't call it great. Overall, Good set 1, VG set 2, 8/10. I should note that I listened to the rolfe.wise-cohen.310 recording. There are other recordings. I think this early one may still be the best. It is a true AUD A recording.
