Was I there?
Did not have tickets, so we listened outside. Remember feeling so sad I was not inside when the first notes of UJB sounded....
Just Listening
I was just listening to the opener from this show, UJB, and got chills when the guy announcing declares "I guess this is the beginning of the second 15 years", and then 15 years later, 1995, well, you know... Cool that Phil starts UJB off.
EXCELLENT SHOW
I was living in Boulder at the time and a friend took me to the show. Truely was one of the better shows I had seen and the shrooms were good too.
My First
I was but a teenager. I was going just for Warren Zevon. A friend turned me on to eating acid for breakfast that day. And the rest is history. As I mark the shows attended, I will not be surprised to see that they may well number to more than 200. With ZERO regrets.
May Peace accompany you -

After a crazy night at the Lazy L we woke up to water backed up and a clean up going on at the hotel. Went to the holiday inn up the block saw Jerry and Warren Zevon leaving. Went inside to have breakfast, Brent was sitting down eating. Missed Zevon for the second day- oh well. A lovely Sunday afternoon, John Scher introduction and a HUGE surprise. Uncle Johns was lovely, Phil was powerful and we were sent into a heavenly deadasphere for the rest of the afternoon. First set ended with another deal. Celebration was in the air. During eyes of the world a flock of birds came by and flew around for awhile and flew off as eyes morphed into a pre drums jam. At the time I thought it was going into CC rider. During Sunshine Daydream I saw ALL the levels on the soundboard maxed. It was LOUD. Went to the top of the stadium for the encore. Looking at the Flatirons during Brokedown is an image I can't forget. Back to the Lazy L, satisified, I went for a post show dip in the pool. The next day we left but lost the stash. We finally came down from the show somewhere in Pennsylvania. Thank you Grateful Dead.
