Kids at shows
I took my girls to several shows when they were just a little older than Aspen. Further Festival and The Other Ones. I have a fond memory of them dancing on their chairs grooving to Franklin's Tower. BTW, I really do work in Wichita.
Shows are a family tradition
I started taking my older son to Dead shows in 1987 when he was 8. The next year his sister joined us. I now have a 12 year old who's been going to Ratdog and Phil and Friends shows for a couple years. In April his big brother and I get to take him to his first Dead show on April 15 in Charlottesville, VA. The music is a huge part of our shared experiences. We have to raise the kids right!
Aspen is headed to her first Dead show
At the one and only Shoreline Amphitheatre! I can't believe I am taking my daughter to the place where it all started for me back. So crazy.
"Everybody's braggin' and drinking that wine, I can tell the queen of diamonds by the way she shines. Come to daddy on an inside straight, well I've got no chance of losing this time"
See you there
Aspen will only be at the May 10th show. But daddy will be at 4 total :-)
P.S. I just noticed that I didn't even finish my last post aye aye aye ...
It should read: "to the place where it all started for me back in 1989"
"When the smoke has cleared she said, that's what she said to me. You're gonna want a bed to lay your head and a little sympathy"
