Grateful Dead Hour no. 169
By David Gans
Week of December 16, 1991
Bob Bralove joined the Grateful Dead's technical team in 1987. A fine musician in his own right (his most recent release, Stories in Black and White, is a collection of solo piano improvisations), Bob served as the band's computer-music expert, assisting all the players with their digital sound libraries so Jerry could play the "trumpet" or the "bassoon" onstage, etc. He worked onstage at every Dead show, assisting all the players with their digital sounds, and sometimes participated in the performance from his unseen spot behind the drummers. On the Terrapin Station) Limited Edition CD, Bralove is credited (along with Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann) on the cleverly-titled "And," which falls between "Drums" and "space."

Every Wednesday, we post a program from the Grateful Dead Hour archives for your enjoyment and enlightenment. You can browse or search the playlists at gdhour.com or on the GD Hour Search page, and let me know what program(s) you'd like to hear by emailing me at email@example.com.
Thanks for listening!
Gained much knowledge from all the interviews you've done throughout the years, your witty (but subtle) interjections and questions always made me smile. Thanks for everything.
Will you come with me? Once in awhile you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right!
The show is Dick's Picks vol. 24 (the link goes to the right place)
Thanks for all the music!
