    Grateful Dead Hour no. 559

    Week of June 7, 1999

A companion to GD Hours 369 and 370, featuring material that didn't fit onto the two-disc set Hundred Year Hall, recorded 4/26/72 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Also in this program: music from the David Nelson Band, then and now (in my humble opinion) the best damn "jam band" in the business, plus a great performance of "Visions of Johanna" by the guy who wrote it.

    Enjoy!

Grateful Dead 4/26/72 Jahrhundert Halle, Frankfurt, Germany (Hundred Year Hall outtakes)
    ZIP-A-DEE DOO-DAH
    EL PASO
    TENNESSEE JED
    GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD
THE STRANGER (TWO SOULS IN COMMUNION)
    CASEY JONES

David Nelson Band, Visions Under the Moon
    LONG GONE SAM

Bob Dylan, Live 1966 (The Bootleg Series vol. 4)
    VISIONS OF JOHANNA

Every Wednesday, we post a program from the Grateful Dead Hour archives for your enjoyment and enlightenment. You can browse or search the playlists at gdhour.com or on the GD Hour Search page, and let me know what program(s) you'd like to hear by emailing me at gdhour@dead.net.
