I mean yeah we all loved Jerry (and still do!) but Brent was always one of my favorites. His keyboarding was the best in my opinion, not necessarily that he was the best musician of all the keyboarders but his style was such a fit for the Grateful Dead sound. But my favorite attribute was his voice, I'd take his backing vocals over Donna's any day :-) no offense to Donna of course! I just like his mellower more soulful tone. I'll get this in the mail in the next day or 2 "I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel. Can't win for tryin. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time. Gonna make em shine."

and despite being flacless (and a total shnidiot), I can copy them to a DVD and try to eventually convert these to wav so I can hear them on my stereo. While reviewing the Taping Compendium 1981 tonight, I noted several of these shows were noted as tremendous, (and my '81 section is pretty light). Anyway, I will give it a try. Maybe my New Years resolution for 2010? Become proficent in conversion? That maybe more than I am capable of. But..... The Truth is realized in an instant, the act is practiced step by step.
