    started by dstache Fall 77 Part 2 I have heard the rumblings and I apologize for the long lag btwn part 1 and part 2, but I am ready to seed this vine. It will consist of 10/1/77, 10/2/77, 10/6/77 and 11/4/77. Thanks to the co-sponsors of this vine, Oroboros, who has graciously provided set 2 of 10/2/77 (my copy had gaps), and ltapilot, whose selflessness is proven once again as he sends me 11/4/77 (my copy had generational loss). I'm not going to go over all the shows from this tour that have been vined and officially released (a lot!!!), but I would like to say that: (1) I believe there are a handful of GREAT shows from this tour, (2) that 10/2 and 11/4 are in that category, and (3) that 10/1 and 10/6 are fine shows. I don't know the origins of 10/1, 10/2 or 10/6 and am not providing the setlists here for them. There is no need to know the selists, if you like '77 and don't have these shows, sign the hell up, you won't be disappointed!!!. But here is the setlist and other info re: 11/4 as provid

Vine will go out tomorrow to Birdsong1969NJ. Ltapilot has put all 4 shows on a DVD for those who do FLAC. Total number of CD's is 11 (10/1 is a 2 disc show). Note that on the 1st CD for 10/1, the 1st 2 tracks are badly cut. I BELIEVE that is how the show circulates, i.e., that the songs do not exist whole. But I may be proven wrong by the FLAC DVD, I don't know. Regardless, I doubt anyone will be crying over a cut Promised Land, although the cut TLEO rubs me the wrong way. Re: Ted's post, I think it was determined that we politely prod them.

to M/I/D. The "Jones Gang Intro" was cool. As for the music, it never ceases to amaze me how JG was so consistently hot in 1977. Each "era" had its plusses and minuses, but 76-77 has to be ranked right up there with the best of them. "Let there be songs to fill the air."

...since I just got home and checked the mail. Sent out 22 CDs in three vines today, got in 3 vines totalling 36 discs, w/2 DVDs. I'd forgotten about what a beast Europe '74 is. Woohoo! I'm well into that second stack of blanks, and wish I had requested CD binders for Xmas as well!
