Yes, I agree with Mark, So Many Roads seems apropos when we know the end is near. Jerry stumbles on the opening line, starting to sing the opening line from the second verse (KC whistle) rather than the first (blackbird singing), but he recovers for the second line and it is pretty smooth sailing from then on. And the acoustic guitar was made for songs like this one. This is only the 3d time the Dead played Visions, and both other times were 9 yrs earlier in 1986. It comes out of space, and to my ears it sounds initially like they are hinting at Black Peter then for a second or two Sugar Magnolia. I'm sure no one outside the inner circle knew it was Visions until Jerry started singing the lyrics. A strong Sugar Mag follows then a Liberty encore, a song that is a favorite of mine but I know not everyone loves it. I like discussing shows, putting in my two cents, and I wish we did that more here. I like hearing what other people have to say. A lot of my more recent vines are "best of" vines and I would enjoy a debate of my selections.
