What a just exactly perfect 50th BD celebration for your lucky friends – sounds like they're now on the bus. And speaking of "bus", where's Geomeister? Anybody spot him at any of the shows? To everybody in Bristow, enjoy the ride tonight. Looks like it'll be cooling off by showtime and the rain will hold off til after midnight (but who'd notice anyway!) Onward!

    A good time was had by all, in spite of the lawn area being oversold by three-fold, in my opinion. And the brief summer shower, even as the horizon cleared for the sunset, came just as Bobby reached the crescendo on Looks Like Rain; perfectly timed. As a 50th birthday present we brought some friends to their first exposure of any kind to this world. They had a blast. And made so memorable for the incident of the friendly fellow who approached us early in the first set and asked if he could leave his Birkenstocks under our beach chairs. We then proceeded to share some of what he grows himself, and did not see him again until the end of intermission. He was OVERJOYED to find us and his sandals. Our friends now have an indelible impression of the nature of interactions between Heads. By now you will have heard of the continuing modifications to the treatments of the old song pairs: China and Rider as bookends to the set rather than a doublet: anything is possible. And what Mr. Mayer did with Deal was epic. EP-IC.

    Looks like just exactly perfect weather at Fenway tonight & tomorrow. Don't be late – don't want to miss getting blasted out of the ballpark! And, just curious, who's in the SSDDer contingent there? Onward y'all! BTW: Bit the bullet and got a brand new Oat Cart last week with mucho mas "After Midnight Oat-age". Just love that "new cart smell!"

    Great show, got an Easy Wind, Throwing Stones and a belated Flag Day Liberty. Highlight was Lil John doing his best David Lindley falsetto Stay imitation on The Wheel. Only gripe Pennsylvanias 5 0. For Chrissakes, you think El Chappo was in attendance. What a bunch of tools. ASL and Roadking, Enjoy Fenway kids! as an aside, a few weeks ago on another subform my concern that setlists have stagnated since 10/2015.... To quote Rosanne Rosanadana...."nevermind"

    Hey rgerrgelis et alii, Glad to hear the feared cloud of stagnation is lifting so more and more spontaneity can seep into Dead & CO '17. You could tell from the nugs tease last night that Burgettstown was going new places (I'd love to hear the whole show). And those Boulder shows were definitely high in the Rockies. Looks like a few clouds may keep temps down in Boston so y'all can better meld with the music. Onward Daydreamers!

Mine is pronounced either like "church" or "sharon." Chandra or Chandra. Both are valid, as long as it's "ah-ndra." How do you pronounce your name Devil's Friend?

"Hate Hate" the first is a verb the second a noun repeat. It is a wonderfully negatively positive thing to chant. or is it positively negative? *note* it should not be taught to children who have not passed the irony threshold, otherwise negativity might win. But to anyone with a touch of Irony, I find it to be an aggressively positive mantra. -- TH

wish I had some for lunch. For one summer, we had a lady who brought her outta-this-world homemade tamales to our local farmers market. I'd buy a dozen at a time, and be lucky to get half of them home without snarfin' 'em at the market. Then, *poof*. She disappeared, never to return. Most likely got an awesome catering gig, but my heart still yearns for her chicken tamales.

Just in from "Those Who Keep Track of Things Important" Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye! We are one month old today!!! Yes, on March 21st, our fearless founder and seeker of truth, TFont, announced our new Name: The Sunshine Daydreamers! Here's his email from that fateful morning: "GROUP NAME: Well gang, nearly and I mean nearly ALL of you voted and the final tabulations are in. Right now, you can break out your 1973 release of the late, great Jim Croce’s “I Got a Name” on 45 (shit, I’m guessing there are folks here who weren’t even born in ’73 and may need an explanation as to what a “45" is? lol…). Anyway, I digress…or as we like to say in the Dead vernacular, I’m a Ramblin’ - sorry, Rose. So the vote was cast wide and deep. Reflective of our coast-to-coast and sea to shining sea group. I love Spring! But, this definitely seems like so much more than a month.... the folks here are a special breed....can't wait for Chicago.... Happy birthday, deeeaaaarrrrrr uuuuuuuuhhhhuuuuuhhhs, happy birthday to us! All I ate this morning was a hard-boiled egg. No cake, no other culinary delights--so unDaydreamer-like. Fueled by delicious coffee and yolk, lol. Oh, well, all in the name of shining sails and patching rails at work. See you all around our third anniversary and I hope the honeymoon never ends . . . . Happy Birthday Anniversary and happy unbirthday to us all of the other days. We certainly have put a lot of mileage on this bus and by the time we "get there" we'll be experts (at being beginners). Today I'll have coffee before taking the wheel but the wheels know where we're going so... until then.... I'm trying to imagine post-CHI SD land. Silly? Where's my coffee.
