when they first came out

I thought they were quite nice, and they served as sort of a subversive statement for wage slaves compelled to wear ties. I suppose they still do, but I kinda scratch my head at their transformation to that big a line also.

re: Jerry ties

Saw a vast selection (like at least 40 different) in a popular nationwide chain the other day. Can't say i see the attraction...

Somebody sing me back home for this wonderful show, the 2nd of 4 shows during the summer of 1978 near Morrison, CO. The triple encore of Terrapin > Saturday Nite > Werewolves is unforgetable. Check out the great photos for both 7/7/78 and 7/8/78 within this website.

RE: Todays Haight St. Kids

I assume "C C" is talking about Haight St kids post 1989. We can't put everyone in the same bucket. Old Haight St. "Rainbow Family," are always coming back to school the new crews- and there's always at least one or two who will pick up the proper protocol, and pass it on. There's almost always one group of "Real" ..."Haight Streetians" with all the right info. and love somewhere between Masonic and the park. We move between Santa Cruz and home (The Haight) but we can be found most everyday. So, not EVERY SINGLE group of hangouts are squatting in disguise. Were still here. Just be careful who you trust. As I was schooled back in 81 by Bill the Cat, "Shea, not EVERYONE in tyedye is *Trustworthy-Kind-Rainbow-Family!" live & learn.
Hugs to you....
Miracles Eternal,
Shea
