Cold rain and snow? Here comes sunshine?
What's Mother Nature up to at your house?
it's pretty darn nice here in Oakland too. The only thing I can find to complain about is that it's brought out the foxtails, which is a bummer from the dogs' point of view, because it's making a lot of their favorite spots a real minefield for the next few months.
(Foxtails, for those not familiar with the grasses for which we can apparently blame the conquistadors, are spiky, barbed grass awns programmed by evolution to work their way up every canine orifice that presents itself, and create a few new ones, to the tune of much anguish and $$$. Wheat, basically, though oats are no treat in this regard either.)
it has been in the 50's to 60's for about a week now been taking the kids hiking just about every day...now the climate suites my clothes...
46 degrees and raining in north bend, Washington..
" Life is`nt about running from the storm, it`s about learning to dance in the rain "
it's spring already. What is up with this wintry blast?
Still, it's so nice to have the days longer and the sun shining, I'm not complaining that much. But a friend of mine was just reporting slushy hail in Santa Cruz.
It's going to be near 75 tomorrow for the Rockies home opener. Of course, it will be 25 degrees colder on Sunday .. ahh yes springtime in the Rocky Mountains..

What a long strange winter it's been! I'm ready for some baseball. Our Royals, with the best Cactus league record, welcome the California /Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels !!! Who the heck do the Angels have this year?? Vladdy's been gone awhile.
Unfortunately here in Kansas, it's 34 degrees w a 60% chance of wetness coming at KC from the northwest...brrrr. I'll have to wear a glove in order to hold the $8 beer. Go get 'em Royals!
happy spring everybody!
and it's supposed to be more of the same all week. I got the dogs to the local dogpark for a brief round of fetch this morning and it looks like another storm moving in as we speak. I like the rain, but a sunny day or two would not kill us.
The man on the news says it's cold rain, mud and snow out on the left coast this morning. Lake Tahoe ski areas must have record snows this winter/spring.
78 sunny and a westerly wind today in Kansas as the daffodils open and the Star Magnolia swells up. Grass is green and ready to grow! I'll be heading to the CO mtns Wednesday.
Spring starts this evening.
