Live Stream? Are there any plans for a live stream of the GD50 shows?I know there are a ton of people that cant make the show, but total will be there in mind and spirit. Is there a plan for a live stream? I am offering my services and equipment to video/audio live stream the shows. Or if there are plans, I will be the first to sign-up and pay. I'm sure there are a few tapers that will be doing audio streams, but wanted to see if we can do this not only as an additional revenue stream (no pun intended) for the band but also to make all the folks that cant make the trip still feel as if they are part of the family.. PM me if interested in discussing.

First, and of greatest import: RL, I do hope all is well; p'raps holiday or simply self-imposed hiatus for the Patron Poster of this ongoing thread. Second, what a difference a week makes! Early last Saturday I matched running mileage with air temperature at 8...an early trek to the one of the neighboring "big cities" in order to see a matinee performance of "Annie" necessitated an extraordinarily early Saturday morning appearance at the trailhead. Wow. Even with insulated tights, I suffered patches of minor frostbite on my left bum and thigh. However, this afternoon, I perspired through 9 miles in the mid-50s while wearing only a T and shorts (with a 20oz. H20 bottle that had to be refilled in a stream). Okay, to the music. Last weekend, I intentionally matched bizarre meteorological circumstances with a queer GD performance, specifically, what I call the Bermuda Triangle show of 6/23/74 in Miami (a reference to Bob's comment regarding chronic electronic issues (or, as Phil said on a similar occasion, "electronic spiders")). Moreover, think of the audience's reaction upon initial exposure to Seastones, as this production does - in fact - encompass that unconventional prog-rock experimentation's debut appearance! And, quite frankly, it's phreaking awesome! Indeed, an appropriate accompaniment to the persistent 'ghosts in the machine' that manifested throughout the first set. Upon first blush this past June and July, I thought much more highly of this show as a whole; however, the gravity of repeated listens has grounded my perception in reason. Still, it's not to be missed for jam-spewing pyrotechnics that commence at the end of Set 1 with an awesome WRS I > LIG, the spirit of which resumes post Seastones with a clever improvisation that spawns a Phil-heavy SOF and, a few tunz later, catapults into - HOLD ON TIGHT - a mind boggling 17.5 minute DS Jam > Spanish Jam (Yeah, you're reading right! - and the Catalonian influence is brazen (listen to the wondrous synchronicity of Jerry, Keith, Fuzzy Bob, Phil, and the disciplined percussive rat-tat-tat)) > 10.5 minute US Blues sequence that is simply phenomenal. Here's yer Relisten.com link... http://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1974/6/23-4 (Would I give you something less than a Seamons' production? Heck no!) (Okay, one last note: just listen to the sublime organic transition from the Spanish J to USB...holy smokes!) Darn it! I've written War-n-Peace without touching upon the selection for today's run and ride home: 4/22/78. But that's another post./peace y'all, K
