Yes indeed the Dead did play there in July 1970. It was my very first Dead concert, still have my ticket stub, $2 for lawn seats. My older brother was one of the staff running shows at that time. They also played there in 1980 (you can check my description of that show on Archive.org). The 1970 show is also posted in my 1994 edition of Deadbase. So even though I don't remember much of the show cause I was still a kid, well, 17 at the time, but just waking up; that show did take place...Ststephen49

There is doubt whether the Dead actually played at this festival.
Of course they did play at this festival ten years later in 1980 as evidenced by a few fine audience tapes.
