    Birthday solstice miracle show
This show was special for me as it was my birthday and the summer solstice. The group of 7 or 8 I was traveling with all had tix for Soldier Field through RFK but we hadn't been able to score Deer Creek. I made a sign that it was my birthday and walked around the lot for a quite few hours. But there were dozens of people looking and very few tickets seemed to be up for sale. Then just about when I'd made peace with not getting in for my birthday, a beautiful older hippie couple in their 60s came up and asked if I had any ID to prove that it was really my birthday. I usually wouldn't show my ID to someone on the lot, but it was impossible not to trust this smiling couple so I showed them that it was indeed my birthday. They got a mail order ticket out and miracled me and there were hugs all around. That show was probably my best yet because of the circumstances of getting in plus, well...it's Deer Creek! Nice warm night, intimate venue and a refreshing breeze cooling us down from time to time. That was the first time I saw the glowing energy orb moving around on stage too. Seemed fitting for the summer solstice.

    The Deer Creek experience!!!
I had finally got my vacation approved at work for this week at Deer Creek & that saturday the tickets went on sell. I got off work friday went home & shit, showered & loaded up a cooler & went to spend the night in front of the ticket place. I get there around 8 pm spent all night jamming to the Dead by dawn there are about 50 folks waiting then about a half an hour before the store was to open & start to sell tickets out comes 2 employee & tell us that because of the demand for tickets that they were having a lottery for first tickets. I was so Mad & Bummed that I spent the whole night out in front of the place so that I would be first in line for tickets then they pull this Crap. The GD Godz were on my shoulder because my number was the one picked to start the line & I was still first in line & I bought 4 tickets to all 3 nights. I got front row in center for 2nd night & 12th row the 1st night & 20th row the last night. I still remember these shows like they happen last week. Great shows!!! I LOVE the Barder system!!! I miss the Parking Lot Circuses!
